How we work
First We Listen. Then We Build.
The engagement
Four Stages, Each With Something in Your Hands
- 01
Listen
We start with a conversation, not a pitch. We ask questions until we understand the problem behind your request. The scope of work that follows is only as large as it needs to be, and we tell you plainly what we find.
- 02
Scope
You get an estimate: the build, the options, the costs, the timeline. We'll make sure you understand the pros and cons of all of your options, and document the ideas and information behind your decisions along the way.
- 03
Build
We work in short cycles you can actually see. Our team shows you a beta version of your project and works with you directly on the changes you need for the final product.
- 04
Hand Over
You leave with working software, documentation, and what your team needs to run it. Need longer term support? Let us have that conversation.
Money, Plainly
We don't publish a price list, because your project is unique. We'll give you an estimate before any work starts, and if a change is needed, you'll know exactly where it comes from before it costs you anything.
The fit
We're a Good Fit If:
- You want to talk to the people building your software, not a sales team.
- Your problem is specific: you need it solved, not staffed.
- You care where your data lives and who can see it.
- You'd rather hear an honest deadline than get an unpleasant surprise part way into your project.
- You want a team you can keep calling — one where community, values, and ethics matter as much to us as getting the job done right the first time.
- You want a diverse team of devs who hold themselves and each other to their values and ethics.
- You were told that software built or customized for the way your business actually works was out of reach.
And if another team is the better solution for your problem, we say so early. It's important to us that your project is with the right team, even when that team isn't us.
